I used my 60v lawnmower battery to run my Bafang BBS02 mountain bike, but it’s a pathetic 4aH which is okay for 45min of cutting grass, but not a long run on my bike. However it is a good battery for short rides, and an adjustable buck converter is needed to prevent overvoltages to 48v Bafang system, which doesn’t like voltage much beyond 58v. 60v won’t actually fry the electronic display because it will fortunately go into shutdown mode.
